Kayaking
A great kayaking adventure is a trip down the Tonle San River passing through tribal villages and the dark jungles of Virachey National Park, exploring spectacular waterfalls and the remnants of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Rantakiri province is home to several waterfalls, most close to the capital Banlung.
Hiking
Short hikes (3 km and less) on the paths around Yak Loum Crater Lake are great for family adventures and fun, and the crater’s crystal clear waters are perfect for a short afternoon dip. A must-see destination, Yak Loum is a volcanic crater lake encircled by a lush jungle.
